Hostel Life Shenanigans

When you live in a hostel you encounter various types of people, different lifestyles, different talking styles, and way too many stories to tell, which is exactly what happens in our dorm room. Closed door, lights off, snacks open, and long nights of talk. Our talks are funny, crazy, stupid, and most of the time senseless; complete and utter nonsense. There are times we go out to eat or just roam around the beautiful city of Jaipur. When you live in a hostel, every day is adventurous. Some days you crave Maggie, some days you crave junk food like Kurkure, and some days you take out your friend’s bag and see what else remains to be eaten.    There are a few incidents and one of them is the day I first met my roommate, Harshil Chauhan. I reached Jaipur to pursue my MBA at ICFAI Business School in Jaipur on the 11 th night. I stayed the night alone, setting the room in a way that was comfortable to me, and hopefully my new roommate. On the 12 th night, I was going to go to sle...

Right Or Wrong?

What is right and what is wrong? What is white and what is black? Are they always separated and never mixed up? Or are they always mixed up? Everything we see around us is said to be either good or is said to be bad. But is that really the case? Is that really how the world is perceived? Maybe the thief had his family to feed, didn't know what to do, and hence turned to the path of thieving as his option and committed the crime. Now, there is a difference between robbing and thieving. Robbing is intentional and with a motive, whereas thieving is also intentional but without a bigger motive. It might, however, seem the same. I'm not saying thieving is go...

Love Life And Married Life

What exactly does it mean by a love life? Is it a life in which you love someone? Is it a lifestyle? Or is it something else? Now, many people will have different meanings of a love life, but me? I have something very different. For me it isn’t just a lifestyle, it is a state of being. Being in love, to be precise, to feel loved. Generally, people perceive love life to be only between couples, but for me, love life can be with any person you love. It can be with your mom, with your family, friends, name it and if there is some kind of love, it is a love life. Don’t confuse this love with the love you are thinking of. I mean connection, a bond, a strong bond. If there is a bond, there is love. No bond can survive if you don’t feel something for the other person, this feeling is love. Love for the person you are with.          Now, you might think that love life and married life are the same, let me tell you, you are utterly mistaken, my friend, t...
